An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

This is a very interesting initiative!

After all, we have millennia of experience — good and bad — in relation to Jewish unity.

What we certainly know is that as long as we keep our unity and mutual guarantee, we survive and prosper, and when we abandon our unity and succumb to the instinctive urges to go alone and to fight one another and succeed at each other’s expense, we almost immediately encounter an existential threat.

The biggest problem is that we usually interpret our writings and teaching in a superficial and literal way, ignoring the deep, symbolic and actual meaning of the “Jewish method” that was designed and developed to correct and develop the person within, changing our inherently egocentric, self-serving, self-justifying and exploitative intentions and inclination so we could achieve and keep the “brotherly love” — or the law of “Love your Friend as yourself” that is the basis of Jewish unity and mutual guarantee.

Also, the “G_d” we can connect to, communicate with, and partner is not a “humanoid figure” but a singular force we can practically draw on ourselves and harness when we keep our unity as a result of becoming similar to this “life-creating and life-nurturing force” through the “brotherly love and bestowal” we develop above and against our inherent nature.

“Original Judaism” or “Halacha” is a live and absolutely practical method and life system we need to purposefully learn and practice so it evolves and remains alive between us.
