Only education can make us better human beings

Question from the Internet:

“Is education the only way to be a better human?”

I think it is becoming more and more obvious and pressing, that in order to solve our mounting problems and to facilitate, safeguard our human survival, we will need to change.

This problem-solving ability and collective survival — in Nature’s fully integrated and interdependent system — is possible only, when we learn and accept that we have to build positive, sustainable, mutually responsible, and mutually complementing interconnections, cooperation — above and against our inherently selfish, egoistic, exploitative individualism.

We also know that people will not change, we can’t sustain changes by coercion, oppression, misleading propaganda, or fearmongering.

Only changes that are achieved through positive motivation, recruiting people willingly, by showing them that the changes are for their own best interest “stick”.

Such positive, sustainable changes, which at the same time require fundamental self-changes, self-upgrade are possible only through the right, purposeful, and highly practical education.

This education needs to help us understand, need to help us “viscerally” feel our total interdependence and what we can gain by building the above-mentioned connections, cooperation, also helping us taste what we lose by not going through the changes.
