Nature or nurture?

Question from the Internet:

“Which side of the argument are you on, nature or nurture? Why?”

Both. We are born with certain qualities, talents, abilities which are within us, making us unique, that are part of our “hardware”.

On the other hand, how we use these qualities, how they develop, what end result will come out depends on the environment we grow out of and exist in.

As a result upbringing, education, and especially the society we live in after education finished forms, shapes us.

And if we consider that we can actually gain new qualities, abilities by the influence of the environment through the constant comparison to others, envy, jealousy instinctively making us want what others have, the environment we submit to, participate in has a major role in who we are.

This is why many agree that we are the product of our environment.
