Some people fear that the COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis will slow down technological progress.

It is not necessarily so.

After all the pandemic and lockdown was a great opening for virtual communication, all kinds of technology that can facilitate connections, cooperation without physical connections.

And since in a globally integrated and interdependent world we have evolved into we will need to further develop these non-physical technologies as we will become much more direct, efficient in decision making, assessments, adjustments above time, space, and physical motion.

Apart from those Human activities that have to remain physical for obvious reasons, most other activities will continue to move to the virtual realm as Humanity is becoming a single, fully integrated, living “super-organism”.
