Living in the “Last Generation”
Question from the Internet:
“Why are there so many short-sighted, weak-minded ideas and people being listened to, supported, and given the power to in these present modern days?”
These “modern days” represent the end — dead end — of our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, and exploitative human development.
After the great promise of previous generations, we have degenerated into a very poor and hopeless generation that does not look forward to the future but fears it. We are simply living out an aimless and dark day-to-day survival in the “Matrix” we built for ourselves.
Just like how Isaac Asimov describes the fall of the “Galactic Empire” in his “Foundation” books, we are also simply repeating and regurgitating the inventions and finds of previous generations without providing anything new or worthy by ourselves. We are helplessly repeating the same mistakes and crimes while digging ourselves ever deeper into crisis.
We have reached the absolute limit that our inherent ego can reach.
There is nothing new or more this insatiable, cancer-like ego can gain or massage out of the Natural system we live in. There is nothing else we can steal from one another. We are like cancer that has entered the terminal stage.
On the other hand, humanity is the only species in nature that can consciously recognize its own self-destructive tendencies and develop a need and desire to change and find a different developmental path.
We exist in a generation that is tasked with changing humanity’s development from a blind, instinctive, and self-destructive one to a conscious, positive, and truly constructive one.
This is the difference between the inevitable doomed egotistic, individualistic, and exploitative development and a new, collective, selfless and altruistic collective path.
