Let’s talk about Human Survival!
At the moment every other news, event is overtaken by the 24/7 coverage about the Coronavirus pandemic. But what will we talk about when the pandemic os over?!
After the pandemic, we will start talking — in a very serious, pressing manner — about how to survive.
We haven’t started to grasp the seriousness of the unfolding socio-economic crisis, which experts predict to be worse than the crisis in 2008, probably on par with the Great Depression of the 1930s.
And this crisis will not be temporary, since the Human system that is collapsing now — and the virus only accelerated what was coming anyway — is unsustainable, it has no right to exist in Nature’s fully integrated, interdependent system. With our artificially generated “aggregate demand”, excessively overproducing, overconsuming system — which tries to pay back debt with even greater debt, we go directly against Nature’s iron laws sustaining the fragile balance and homeostasis life and positive development depends on.
Thus instead of instinctively plunging into blaming each other for something we are all responsible for, instead of sleepwalking into another world war, we will need to start to talk about our collective survival — as there is no individual, national, regional survival in a global world, only global.
Then after we started to talk about it, we will also have to learn how to build the crucially necessary, global, mutually responsible and mutually complementing interconnections — above vast differences, despite the instinctive distrust, animosity which cannot be suppressed, erased — which will facilitate that collective, global survival.
