Leadership in the global era

Question from the Internet:

“Keeping the elections aside, what kind of leader do people want during these hard times? A leader that appears daily on the media to console people or a leader that is working quietly behind the scenes with few important appearances only?”

It seems that the leaders people want and the leaders people need is still very different.

Seemingly we still don’t want to grow up and we want leaders who can say beautiful speeches, they behave like our fathers or mother’s consoling, soothing us, who dress and look “properly"…..even if our actual lives get worse.

And of course if the media, the celebrities endorse these “nice, politically correct" leaders, if they tick all the boxes they are supposed to tick, we vote for them and we forgive them even if they do nothing or do worse things than those leaders who don’t fit the “labels", and the media, celebrities don’t endorse them.

Actually the world has changed so much, that we would need leaders that are a completely new kind, ones who are suitable for our unprecedented, globally integrated, interdependent times.

Of course such new leaders would need to grow out of a new Human society that itself is brought up, educated properly to be suited to the global, integral world.

So everything starts, depends on the right, purposeful and practical education, that can lead to a very different, fully aware, mature Humanity that is ready for this new, conscious, integral phase of Human development.
