It’s time to stop “beating around the bush!”

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

I am sorry, but this article is totally meaningless!

We are still looking at others, we keep blaming others, and we wait for our fortunes to change depending on how others might change.

This will never happen!

The good news is that our fate is firmly in our own hands. But in order to turn this fate and secure our future, we have to make some difficult and daunting decisions as we will have to change how we live and behave fundamentally.

We all know — based on our past and present — that Jewish and Israel’s survival solely depends on the unity and mutual guarantee of the Jewish people.

When we behave “as one man with one heart,” we prosper; when we succumb to “unfounded hatred” — the constantly recurring and instinctive infighting and undermining of one another — we immediately face an existential threat, hatred of others, expulsions, pogroms and “blood libels.”

We also understand by now that unity does not mean suspending our infighting and facing a common enemy when we are already under attack. Even animals can do that!

True unity — as our predecessors recognized and implemented — is something “supernatural” that has to happen above and against our inherently selfish, egocentric, individualistic, and hateful human nature.

Moreover, we also need to show a ‘shining” positive example to others on this, as only this “supernatural unity is the guarantee for human survival against inherent human nature.

Are we ready to do what we are obligated to do?!
