It is time to learn from history!

Question from the Internet:

What does the message mean "History cannot give us a program for the future, but it can give us a fuller understanding of ourselves, and of our common humanity, so that we can better face the future"?

This is a beautiful quote, which is very true.

To understand it, we need to look at Human history, the development through the chain of generations and also the flow of our own personal life is a non-stop educational process.

We are all here to learn life, the meaning, purpose of life, how we can most perfectly adapt to the flow of life that surrounds us within Nature’s perfect system.

And by default we are pushed into this world without a proper User’s Guide, moreover we are born with qualities - with an egocentric, self-justifying, individualistic, exploitative Human nature - that is incompatible with the rest of the Natural system. Nature is built on selfless altruism, unconditional integration with the rest of the system, unity.

We are surrounded by proof everywhere of this, we can take our own biological body, the cells and others in it for example.

So Human history and our own life is a process of trial and error, as the Human observer keeps trying to find a way of surviving in Nature with a program, tool-set that is incompatible with the system.
So when we look back at history, we should see what didn’t work, ideologies, philosophies, systems, societies we already tried and failed with.

But here we meet a great problem.

Our inherently self-serving, individualistic program is so strong that it doesn’t allow us to learn, at least it doesn’t want to go beyond the boundaries of the ego. We keep changing systems, ideologies as long as they remain self-serving, self-justing, as long as we can continue succeeding at each other’s and Nature’s expense.

And when we can’t find anything new, we try “refurbishing” old ideas, systems, only to fail with them again.

We never learn from history enough - our ego doesn’t allow - to arrive to the most important conclusion: the only thing we need to change is ourselves. In order to break out of history’s helplessly recurring, vicious cycles we need to learn how to adapt ourselves to Nature’s lawful, deterministic states by acquiring Nature’s qualities over, against our own.

This means the greatest evolutionary, developmental change in evolution: individualistic, selfish “cancer-cells” consciously deciding to come together to become a single, mutually responsible, mutually complementing Human “super-organism”.

Initially we need to do this in order to survive - as without this evolutionary jump we can’t safeguard collective Human survival in a Natural states that evolves towards full integration.

Then we will realize that it offers much much more than simple survival. By building, developing a collective consciousness, learning how to sense, perceive, experience reality through each other we rise to a qualitatively much higher, uniquely Human existence - above and beyond the usual egocentric, subjective limitations of time, space and physical motion.

This revolutionary transition had started in our generation, the sooner, and more consciously, actively get on board the faster and more pleasant the transition will become!

And finally we don’t have to do this blindly, following trial and error as we have the unique, purposeful and practical User’s Guide in the form of a special educational method.
