It is not Iran that is strong; it is Israel that is weak!
An article in The Jerusalem Post:
My comment:
Although I agree with many things the author writes about, it focuses too much on Iran.
As the article states, Iran and its proxies are not strong enough to effectively threaten Israel through military strikes.
However, so far, they have been extremely successful in fighting Israel through psychological terror. They are extremely successful in dividing Israeli society. However, this does not speak to their strength or ability.
This speaks about our own weaknesses. We are the ones who allow them to divide us through very basic tricks and tactics.
As long as Israel society remains divided, as long as fighting one another, trying to prove who is right and who is wrong, as long as we think that naming individual scapegoats in Israel will solve any problems, we remain easy prey for such psychological warfare and we also keep ourselves open to terrorist attacks like the one that happened in October.
It does not matter how many terrorists we kill; it does not matter if we pulverize Hezbollah.
Unless we revive and implement the unique “Jewish unity” — that has to be built and maintained above and against our inherently egocentric, selfish, and hateful nature — we remain in existential danger from all sides.
On the other hand, if we provide the crucially important positive example of that Jewish unity — on which positive example depends on the continuing survival of humanity — we will turn everyone from the “free world” on our side and suffocate the terrorists even without weapons.
