Is there still any use and place for philosophy?

Question from the Internet:

“Is there a philosophy for thinking philosophy is meaningless? Like, where I think that trying to label and contain life in philosophy is something humans do to “own” their lives. I just don’t care to think about this or that since I should focus on it now.”

I do not think we need a “philosophy” that states that philosophy is meaningless. And probably “meaningless” is too strong of a label.

But philosophy is definitely impractical and useless, especially in our times especially, since it is based on our inherently limited and misguided, 100% egocentric and subjective mind and intellect.

We are running out of time trying to figure out who we are, where we exist, and what our purpose in life is.

The actual and very real problems around us are constantly growing and intensifying and we truly need some urgent and practical actions and solutions to safeguard our survival on this planet or in general.

Thus without actually knowing and “viscerally” feeling who we are, what desires and intentions drive us, why we are incompatible with Nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated system, and how we could adapt ourselves to this system in order to continue existing, we are simply doomed.

And philosophy cannot answer any of our questions, and it can never give us actual and practical solutions.

For that, we need an authentic, empirical, and natural science, an actual method we can use to change and further develop ourselves.

The time of philosophy, “great speeches” and theories, resounding promises, and empty debates is over. We really need to know who we are, what system we exist in, and what we need to do right here and right now to survive in this system.

And then, beyond “simple” survival, perhaps we also start to realize and see what higher purpose we have in Nature’s system. But again, instead of philosophizing about it, we will tangibly and “viscerallY’ feel it and experience it on our flesh.
