Is the perfect human society boring and creepy?
Question from the Internet:
“Do you think making a perfect society would be creepy and uncomfortable as everybody in the world wants peace? If that was to truly happen, would you think we would really be at peace?”
We have to move away from the usual “Hollywood” depiction of a perfect world or heaven, where angelic music is played and everything is painted with pastel colours and only perfectly groomed and dressed smiling people walk in a graceful, slow pace like elves for example in the Lord of the Ring movies.
You are right, such a “perfect” world is creepy and we would not last long as we would go crazy within a few weeks and months not to mention the hell if we had to remain in such a world eternally.
Fortunately, the real world is very different.
We come to build the perfect society — that is sustainable and peaceful and equal, where each can find their rightful and optimally contributing place while receiving justly and proportionately everything one deserves — through a hard and long developmental process through a lot of difficulties and trials and errors.
After all, we need to build such a positive and mutually integrated human society above and against our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, subjective and individualistic nature.
We have to build peace against our instinctive drive toward constant conflicts and wars since by default, we all want to succeed and survive at the expense of others. Our inherent ego constantly tries to prove we are better, smarter, more powerful and wealthier than others.
And we cannot suppress or erase our instinctive nature. Our diversity, the differences of opinions, the constant criticism and even hate towards others do not disappear but even grow.
So the perfect, peaceful, equal and sustainable human society is built above and against everything that tries to reject and separate people and nations from each other. It is something that is constantly rebuilt, sustained and dynamically adjusted.
We will “viscerally” feel as if our perfect and progressive human society was built on top of a volcano that can erupt at any moment, but still, we have the ability to constantly maintain the necessary balance and homeostasis that creates a completely new, qualitatively much higher, collective Human existence for us.
If we felt the life of cells and organs in our own biological body while we are asleep or look at the beautiful sunset with a cocktail in hand and a loved one by our side, on the cellular level there is constant strife, near-disasters averted every moment, ceaseless destruction and construction in a fine and dynamic balance.
So we do not have to be afraid. A perfect human society that is built based on Nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated template — above and against our inherently egoistic, selfish and cancer-like nature — is never boring or creepy. It is the most exciting and rewarding experience one can imagine!
