Is humanity going backward?

Question from the Internet:

“Is it me, or are our world and its people going backward?”

I fully understand why you would see and feel so.

Seemingly our civilization is collapsing, all our ideologies and systems are slipping through our fingers, and we not only do not look forward to the future, but we fear the future and want to close our eyes!

But we are in a developmental or evolutionary process that is relentlessly moving forward. Humanity is not an isolated “incident”. We are an integral part of nature — a very important part — that is developing together with the system according to a very precise and deterministic plan.

And in this plan, human beings have a very important and crucially necessary part to learn and fulfill. And this requires our conscious participation.

Until now, human development has been a completely blind and instinctive process. We went through millennia of human history without any conscious actions, but we simply, obediently followed our inherently egocentric, subjective, and individualistic nature that has been intensifying from generation to generation.

Today we have reached a human society where each individual feels totally disconnected and separated from others. We all act through deep mutual distrust and animosity, seeing solutions only in manipulating, controlling, or destroying others.

According to nature’s evolutionary plan, we had to reach this dead-end, feeling like independent individuals that want to survive and succeed at each other’s expense while also recognizing that we exist in a fully integrated and interdependent world. We had to reach a very tangible and visceral sense of the explosive paradox between our inherent nature and our actual, evolutionary conditions that are totally incompatible with each other.

From now on, huge changes will start, as we will have to — with or without our consent — change our worldview and approach to life from one extreme to another. From warring, controlling, and destructive “single-cell organisms” that live and act like cancer, we will have to become a single, mutually responsible and mutually complementing “multi-cellular” humanity, that exists and acts as “one” with a single purpose and single consciousness we are all parts of.

This is not an idea, philosophy, or ancient wisdom any longer, this is our actual, very sharp, and biting reality. We will reach this either with a new, willing, conscious, and methodical preparation, and participation or as a result of very fast and ever-increasing blows and intolerable suffering forcing us.

This is the moment when for the first time we have a free choice in our human life. This is the first time we can actually understand and control our existence and “fate” and take it into our hands.

This is the first time we can learn and implement the unique, evolutionary human purpose we received our lives for.
