Integral Education for an Integral World
Question from the Internet:
“Education is the most important factor in the development of human civilization. In order to uplift the degree of awareness of society, education plays a prime role. What does an educated person look like today?”
I could not agree with you more! Education is the single most important tool we have to build a better, more future-proof society.
As we have evolved into a globally integrated and interdependent world, instead of the previous/present education — that is concerned only “producing good workers and good consumers — we need a suitable, “global, integral education”.
Such a unique, purposeful and most importantly practical education could help us understand and actually feel what it means to live in a world where we all depend on each other, and as a result, we are all responsible for one another.
Thus a “well-educated” person in today’s integral world makes one’s calculations for the benefit of the whole collective above the individual, selfish calculations, constantly cares and works for building the crucially necessary, mutually responsible and mutually complementing connections our problem-solving ability and collective survival depends on.
Most importantly this education does not depend on certain cultures, religions, political agendas, governance systems, but it depends solely on Nature’s fundamental laws of integration, that life in the Universe depends on.
