Insatiable need and perfect fulfillment

Question from the Internet:

“What is the most important unifying theme in the study of life?”

The most important unifying theme of life is to understand that life is a desire. We feel alive as we have a desire for self-fulfillment.

Everything we do is a result of sensing unfulfilled, empty desires and we search fulfillment for them. The moment we are born and are conscious of us existing, everything we ever do is governed by constantly, seemingly randomly awakening desires, needs in us. Our whole life is a search for the perfect, infinite fulfillment of our desires.

While we do not like to be unfulfilled and constantly try to quench the inner hunger and we call the fulfillment of our desires happiness, bliss, staying in the state of direct fulfillment paralyzes us, we become like stones that cannot do not want to move.

The lack of fulfillment. suffering from empty desires excites us, makes us move, helps us grow. Of course, this can mean unpleasant, physical suffering, actual hunger, actual pain, when we keep running away from actual, physical suffering.

But this hunger, need to search, to move can also be the result of something more pleasant, more important attracting us forward while our basic, natural necessities are catered for.

And we can develop a uniquely human state, where we exist in constantly growing, eternally unfulfilled emptiness, need, while we also feel — at the same — time and unprecedented, perfect, eternal fulfillment.

We can learn, develop the ability to sense insatiable, intolerable emptiness, need, and their perfect fulfillment in separate “vessels”. We can develop and maintain a constant need, yearning to sense and fulfill the desires of other people when existing in such a “mother’s love” towards everybody else the only thing in life that interests us.

And then — as a result of our efforts — we can facilitate the perfect, motherly fulfillment of the desires of others, sensing their happiness, their fulfillment, their perfection while our ever-deeper, insatiable need, yearning to love, fulfill others remain and widen, deepen.

This is a qualitatively much higher state of Human existence when everything else, time, space, motion disappears, only the eternal, insatiable yearning to give, to love and sensing the total fulfillment, happiness of others, the world, Nature remains.
