Independent of One’s Self: A Journey to Divine Connection
In the tapestry of existence, the Creator extends an ever-present hand, inviting me to transcend the fleeting states, emotions, and actions that define my earthly experience. This divine gesture beckons me to abandon the automatic, aimless narrative of this world — a scripted illusion — and to glimpse reality through His sacred perspective. To accept this invitation is to embark on a profound journey, one that demands constant communion with Him, sensing His presence behind every moment, every choice.
Each instant presents a subtle yet pivotal decision: to surrender to the currents of life’s events, orchestrated by the Creator Himself, or to grasp His hand and rise above the whirlwind of thoughts, fears, emotions, and imaginations. This is not a singular act but a gradual unfolding, a rhythm of ascent and descent. I rise, touched by the Creator’s light, only to fall back under the weight of my ego — a cycle that tests my resolve and deepens my yearning.
There comes a breaking point, a moment of reckoning where the heart cries out against the endless oscillation. I can no longer endure the blind descent into the ego’s total control, a matrix that binds me to its self-serving calculations. In that sacred instant, I resolve to remain tethered to the Creator, to dwell above the ego’s dominion, independent of its illusory world. If this longing is fierce and true — a “life or death” plea to break free from the ego’s chains — the Creator hears and responds. He severs the anchors that have bound me, lifetime after lifetime, to desires and thoughts that serve only the ego’s agenda.
This liberation is no mere escape; it is a deliberate choice, born of the Creator’s design. He orchestrates the ego’s matrix not to ensnare but to grant me the freedom to recognize and choose His side — a realm accessed through a sacred network of mutual connection. In a unique environment, I join others who share this aspiration, each of us striving to dissolve into one another, leaving our original selves behind. By surrendering to this collective bond, I stabilize a perspective untethered from the ego’s lens — a viewpoint purified, objective, and free. Here, I glimpse a reality governed by the Creator’s boundless mercy, a state where His unconditional love reigns supreme.
This first spiritual awakening is an overwhelming liberation, a freedom so profound it feels as though no harm can touch me. Under the Creator’s merciful protection, the ego’s world loses its grip; its forces hold no sway. Yet, this state is fragile. Without the constant, collective effort to sustain the magnetic atmosphere of mutual commitment, I risk slipping back into the ego’s domain, returning to the familiar confines of my former perception. This fear — of losing my connection to the Creator’s reality — fuels an ever-deepening dedication to our shared work, a collective striving toward true love and bestowal.
As this newfound freedom settles within me, a deeper realization dawns: this pure liberation, though exquisite, is not the pinnacle of my journey. The purpose of my spiritual evolution lies beyond, in achieving total similarity with the Creator — the singular source of unconditional love and life itself. To move forward, I must learn to love and bestow as He does, a practice that unfolds within the same sacred environment where I first tasted freedom.
This time, the work is more profound. I must fully absorb the desires, yearnings, and needs of others, presenting their deficiencies to the Creator for fulfillment while I annul myself entirely. I become a conduit, a transparent vessel through which their aspirations flow, existing only to serve without expectation of return. This act awakens a fierce resistance, a visceral hatred born of the ego’s final stand. To truly love, I must sacrifice the very essence of who I believe myself to be — a dissolution so complete that nothing of “me” remains.
This is the crucible where true self-annulment begins, guided by the Torah’s ancient wisdom and its inner force. As we stand together, confronting this unfounded hatred, we draw upon the Creator’s strength. Through the Torah’s method, we counter resistance with an all-consuming love that erases who I was, who I am, and who I might have been. In this surrender, I begin to sense the Creator’s boundless love for us, mirrored in the love I cultivate for others.
This awakening ignites a passionate devotion — not merely to the act of loving others, but to the Creator Himself. My heart turns toward Him, consumed by a singular desire: to reciprocate His infinite goodness, to repay the absolute love He bestows upon us. Though my actions remain rooted in the practice of loving others — each of us subjugating ourselves to the collective whole — my true obsession becomes the source of all love, the life-creating force that permeates reality.
In this sacred dance, I am both nothing and everything — a soul dissolved in love, yet alive in the Creator’s embrace. My journey is no longer my own, but a testament to His eternal invitation, a path toward unity with the divine essence of absolute love and bestowal.
