In order to live in free societies without oppressive laws, first we need to change ourselves
Question from the Internet:
“If we didn’t have rules and laws in the world, do you think the world could turn chaotic? Is the human mind too vulnerable to give in to evilness?”
We need the rules and laws in the world to facilitate people living with each other in relatively normal, sustainable societies.
On one hand we can’t live without each other, we are social creatures, and especially in today’s globally integrated, interdependent world we can’t survive without mutual cooperation.
On the other hand our inherently selfish, egotistic, exploitative nature, operating program needs the framework of laws, regulations, otherwise we would run amok as in earlier civilizations.
Even today we can see how sooner or later we distort, corrupt even the best looking ideologies, systems - as we have now done with liberal, parliamentary democracy and free market capitalism - as even the laws, regulations are not effective enough against our egos.
It is not because the human mind is weak, vulnerable. We are by default “programmed” to exist only for ourselves, at the expense of others.
Thus if we want to build truly positive, safe, peaceful, fair, prosperous and sustainable societies that don’t rely on restrictions, red tapes, oppression and still fall apart, first we need to correct, upgrade our inherent nature, so we would become able to think, make decisions and act above, against the inherent ego.
No political, economic or social changes, manipulations can help us, only the unique, purposeful and highly practical educational method that can change is through positive motivation, attracting people by free choice.
