If you mean by "virtual experience" this real-life Matrix we live in now, we are already addicted to it and we do not want to leave it.

We all want to "return to normal" as soon as the pandemic is over, we reject any suggestion that we ourselves should change.

We are all like "agents" in the original "Matrix" fiercely fighting anybody who would like to unplug us from this virtual prison of the ego, we are all like those in Plato's Cave allegory who wanted to kill those who tried to lead them out from the cave to reality.

It will either take intolerable suffering within this virtual reality, or a sensitive, willing critical minority that can find the way out (by changing themselves) and then pull others behind them with their positive example while the "glitches", crisis situations, blows increase in the Matrix.
