Question from the Internet:

“What do you would happen if everyone cared for one another and there was no evil in the world?”

We can put it this way: if everyone cared for each other, there would be no evil in the world.

The only reason there is evil in the world is that inherently we all care only about ourselves. This does not mean we are evil or sinful. We are programmed this way.

Our 100% self-centered, self-serving and self-justifying nature makes us do all our calculations, thinking, decisions and actions for our own sake.

Even when we seemingly “give or love”, we do so based on very precise – mostly unconscious – calculations that make sure that we benefit from those actions. If there was absolutely no self-benefit, some reward or positive feedback, we would not be able to move a finger.

And the more selfish and egoistic we became through human development, the more this self-service and ignorance about others, or outright success and benefit at the expense of others became apparent and actual.

Today – especially in the West – we live in societies where we all care only about ourselves and benefit at the expense of others and this is the accepted and coveted lifeform, which is freely expressed through the media, entertainment, sports and politics. The classical family model is disappearing since we can’t stand the idea of committing ourselves to live with others in close partnership and most young people reject the idea of bringing up their own children, losing their “freedom and independence” that way.

At the same time, we are gradually learning and experiencing that we are actually not standalone, separate individuals with individual freedom and choice as we thought and hoped.

Instead, we are all mutually integrated and fully interdependent parts and elements of a single living system that encompasses global humanity and “global nature” as well.

Thus it is not only that all the “evil” – the ruthless competitions and fights, the constant destructive disagreements, the mutual exploitation, the manipulation and control of others – would disappear if we learned how to care for one another in a mutually responsible and mutually complementing way. Our actual continuing survival in nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated system depends on learning and practicing how to exist and behave like single cells of the same, integrated and living organism.

Since we need to learn and practice “caring for others as we inherently care for ourselves” above and against our egoistic and individualistic instincts, we need a special, purposeful and practical method to help us. On the other hand, since we have to achieve a unique, nature-like, mutually responsible and mutually complementing integration with each other consciously, purposefully against our instincts, this unique self-change and self-development will give us our actual and truly Human advantage in nature.

As we gradually become mutually integrated with each other, and as a result of the acquired similarity we also become compatible and integrated parts of nature, we will become nature’s only conscious, seamlessly integrated and at the same time independent “inner observers” and equal partners.

Thus this process will not only safeguard our continuing and collective human survival, but it will also guide us towards our unique and very high, evolutionary Human purpose in life.
