Humane values as the new currency
Question from the Internet:
“What would it be like if humanity (quality or behavior that makes you a human) was the currency?”
Then we would live in a completely different world.
Moreover, since we evolved into a globally integrated and interdependent world, where only through “truly humane”, mutually supportive, mutually responsible, and mutually complementing interconnections, cooperation can we find solutions to our global problems and survive, using “humanity” as currency is the key to humanity’s collective survival.
Everything depends on importance, on what values, goals, aspirations society makes, markets as important to its members.
At the moment it is consumerism, amassing personal wealth, fame, selfish knowledge is what we consider important since this is what society portrays as the most attractive, cool, enticing for all of us — not to mention that such values, goals, “purposes” align with our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric and individualistic nature.
But with the right education, with the purposeful, positive societal influence — especially by using initially smaller, closed groups for those who are sensitive and willing — we can make a different, truly humane value system, collective development, and survival more attractive than the dying “zero society” we live in now.
First, we can use the promise and security of successful collective survival in an integral, global world as a drawing card. Then we already received a taste of the abilities, potential of such collective existence, the positive experiences, the tangible, realistic sensation of a qualitatively much higher existence, and the acquired collective consciousness, intellect will secure the necessary mutual interconnections above and against our instinctively selfish, egoistic, subjective tendencies, resistance.
