Human purpose is something very tangible, crucial

Opinion from the Internet about Human purpose and the state of the world today:

“Well, whatever our purpose is, it has to wait until we understand one simple thing: there’s no way to be smarter or better than the ones we allow ourselves to be governed by. Once we understand that we may start thinking about purpose.”

You would be right, if “purpose” was something “high”, mystical, theoretical, but it isn’t.

You wrote, “the ones we allow ourselves to be governed by”, and this is very important. Apart from a very few countries in the world, the leaders of nations didn’t get their positions through violent takeover, military coup. They grew out of society, they were elected by the people, they are “one of us”.

The way they behave when they gain control, power is not extraordinary, they simply portray how Human nature, our inherent, selfish ego works.

People hate Trump so viciously as he is showing a mirror of the petulant, narcissistic, selfish Human being we all are. And those who methodically incite against him, try to show themselves different, “loving”, “emphatic and caring”, serving others for the greater good (while all they care about is grabbing power for themselves) are much worse!

They knowingly, unknowingly lie, as each and every Human being is inherently self-serving, self-justifying, thrives on competing against, exploiting others.

It is the same with a Communistic and Capitalistic society. In Communist countries people at least know how much they are controlled, restricted, while in Capitalistic countries people believe they are free, when they are all controlled, manipulated 100% through social media, entertainment industry, marketing, journalism, celebrities. And we don’t despise those who control, manipulate us, we want to be like them, we want their wealth, power, fame, “beauty”!

The only difference between us is our hunger, readiness to sacrifice ourselves or others for what we want, and how much chances, opportunities we get to put our selfish aspirations into practice. This creates the pyramid shape of Human societies.

There are many revealing psychological experiments to prove what forces, desires, inclinations work in us, one of the most famous is the “Stanford Prison Experiment”.

What does it have to do with purpose?!

Our Human purpose starts with recognizing the selfish, egotistic, self-destructive nature in all of us (not only in selected individuals, groups) and entering a completely new, this time conscious Human development above and against who we are born. Then we will understand that being born egotistic, selfish, exploitative, all the vicious cycles in history (we are repeating right now, copying what happened only 70–80 years ago) only serve us to come to the need to change, upgrade ourselves - all of us!

Then against who we were, who we are, we can become similar to Nature - mutually integrated, mutually complementing, creating a single Human entity that can integrate into Nature. But contrary to animals (integrated instinctively) we will do this consciously, through a unique contrast between inherent, selfish egoism and acquired, selfless altruism.

Then we reach our evolutionary Human purpose of becoming Nature’s only conscious observers, researchers. And since this is determined by Nature’s evolution we will either reach our purpose consciously, proactively, by our own efforts, or by increasing suffering, crisis situations, wars, blows which have already started.

And this conscious process won’t start with the leaders as they are cemented into their positions and can’t change. It has to start from the grassroots, with people who already see the need for changes and are willing to start the changes, starting with themselves!
