Human beings as cogwheels…

“Does free will exist in a capitalist society? Why or why not?”

We do not have any free will — as we imagine it — in any kind of society.

We are 100%, blindly led by our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, subjective, and exploitative egos, that make all the calculations solely for selfish, personal benefit in any given circumstances.

Moreover, we are all interlocked into a globally integrated and interdependent world, where everybody is inevitably influenced by everybody even if we are not aware of this, even with our thoughts and intention on a deeper, non-physical level.

This is something more and more people started to recognize and this is what our mounting, seemingly unsolvable global problems also show us.

Capitalism with its ideology of narcissistic individuality, individual rights at the expense of the collective, ruthless, exclusive competition for excessive overconsumption, for success and profit at the expense of others is the epitome of this human incompatibility with Nature integral template.

And as a result, our present civilization is collapsing.

Our only truly free choice is to recognize accept this total interdependence, accept that we are all but individual cells of the same, closed, mutually integrated living organism. Then we can adjust our worldview, overcome our inherently egocentric, subjective attitude and behavior.

Then instead of rusty cogwheels that foolishly try turning out of synchrony, mostly against the others, causing all kinds of problems to the collective machinery, instead of acting like cancer cells, we can become mutually responsible and mutually complementing elements that facilitate life and a qualitatively much higher life-experience between them.
