How to revive our declining societies?

Question from the Internet:

“A lot of people on YouTube are saying that an economic and social collapse is about and happen so we should prepare, I’m 15 and I am scared easily so is this true do I have to learn to survive or not?”

The claim that our economy and society will collapse is scaring people, as they usually imagine some student collapse when from one day to the other we enter some dark, explosive, violent period when we all have to fear for our lives.

“Collapses” do not usually work that way, we do not need to wait for a revolution, war, a total loss of value of money. It is better to use the expression “decline” instead of “collapse” to understand and handle the situation better.

And our human civilization — based on the western, excessively overconsuming, ruthlessly competitive lifestyle where we all succeed, survive at each other’s and Nature’s expense — has been declining for decades.

And now, the pandemic forced us to face the facts, that our development, life goes nowhere, that we all live in a “zero”, totally aimless human society where we are basically surviving day to day without any purpose and we do that against each other.

A Human being cannot live without a purpose, and especially young people like yourself find themselves in a terrible predicament these days. They are not attracted by the hedonistic, self-serving, consumerist lifestyle of the previous generation — and that lifestyle is in decline anyway — but they have no idea why they live, what they should expect from life, why they should put any effort into studying, working when it is all pointless.

Fortunately, we have a solution, we can find and implement the right education that can show us, give us our true purpose in life, can teach us how to become “truly Human beings” that are in balance, mutual cooperation with each other, and with Nature’s system. This way we can stop the present decline and revive our societies on new foundations, values, with new goals and aspirations — all based on the positive, constructive, mutually responsible and mutually complementing connections between people.
