How much more suffering do we need until we understand the unity we need?!

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

None of the present political fractions can survive the “post-Octover7 reality.”

The single most important thing we need to learn from this war: As long as we remain separated, in different warring fractions that try to undermine, eject, and nullify each other, we have no chance!

The original warning our nation received at Sinai still stands and is stronger than ever: “Unity or death; mutual guarantee or death.”

We won’t achieve unity by simply talking about it, and the unity we achieve as a result of external threats is not real unity.

The unity we need to reach and keep — a “supernatural” unity above the inherently selfish, egoistic and individualistic human nature — needs a unique method, which can teach us how to exist and behave above and against our instinctive nature.

Moreover, this method also needs to help us to draw on ourselves, harness and partner reality’s single operating force, the only force that can “install in us” the necessary “second nature” like a new operating software that can override the original, egoistic and hateful software we are born with.

Before October 7, Israel was in the deepest “unfounded hatred.”

So far, this war and our existential fight have not yet ignited the need and action toward true unity that is the key to our future.

How long do we wait?! How much suffering do we need to wake up and return to our original existential method in mutual guarantee?!
