How is a human being higher, more developed than a chimpanzee?
Question from the Internet:
“What is the point of nationalism when all humans are just from chimpanzees?”
While it is true that we originate from the same — so far unidentified — root as chimpanzees, orangutans, and other developed primates, there is a huge difference between humans and the rest.
We can see how chimpanzees, orangutans remained basically unchanged for millions of years, while humans went through an incredible development reaching our proud and at the same time self-destructive state of today.
The only difference between humans and the other developed primates is the insatiable, inquisitive, competitive, colonizing human ego. It is the ego that has driven us through human evolution, and it is the ego that started to differentiate between people according to different characteristics, qualities, leading to the separation of races, nations, cultures, religions, different ideologies, and systems.
.Nationalism is just another inevitable and irrepressible trait of our unique human nature as everything else that separates us and rejects us from each other.
The ego is irrepressible, we can’t suppress it either as we have found out many times during history. but we can learn how to harness, channel the awesome but destructive powers of the human ego, so above all the remaining and growing differences we also build ever stronger, sustainable, positive, and constructive mutual connections, cooperation based on common goals, purpose, especially after we understood our predetermined, evolutionary Human role and purpose in Nature.
Then everything that separates us right now, everything that serves as an excuse for competition, wars, mutual distrust, and hate will become necessary diversity, the “dynamic spice” within Humanity’s single, living mosaic, exactly how the extremely diverse, seemingly incompatible cells, organs, subsystems of our own biological body cooperate to create life and a “higher intellect” we sense as our “self”.
This is how we can develop an ever higher, collective “Human self/intellect” we can all access when we co-exist, cooperate above everything that would otherwise separate us from each other.
