How can we escape our own egocentric and subjective prisons?
Question from the Internet:
“Is a human being trapped within him/herself with no possibility of escape?”
You are right. By birth, we are all trapped in ourselves.
We are all born with a 100% self-serving, self-justifying and individualistic consciousness and operating software with its 100% egocentric and subjective perception of reality.
As a result, we do not actually sense and exist in the true reality. We seemingly exist in a limited and distorted “movie set” that our own introverted and self-obsessed ego projects for us.
We sense and care about only what is important for our 100% self-serving and self-justifying calculations based on an egocentric and subjective pleasure/pain equation, while we see others and the world as it suits our ulterior motives.
On the other hand, we can escape from this inherently ‘self-imposed” prison of our egos. We can learn and practice how to see and experience reality through the desires and viewpoints of others to the point of completely detaching ourselves from the ego’s perspective, dissolving into other people, and as a result, accessing a complete and objective reality without any egocentric and subjective bias.
This is something we can all reach and experience with the help of a special method in the right, purposefully built, and conducted human environment with other people who are also ready to escape their own prisons.
