How can we communicate despite all the language barriers?
Question from the Internet:
“What can you infer from the statement “Discovering what’s universal about languages can help us understand the core of our humanity”?”
I agree. What is universal about languages is that we communicate through languages and what we communicate is our internal emotions, needs, thoughts and desires.
Languages like different cultures, ideologies and religions for example seemingly divide us, making connection, communication difficult, sometimes impossible.
But if we all made efforts to try finding, understanding, feeling the similar desires, emotions, needs behind everything that separates, disconnects us, then we could overcome the differences and find a way to unite humanity, facilitating the positive, mutually responsible and mutually complementing interconnections, cooperation our future survival depends on.
It might sound like a cliche, but we have to find the “language of love and solidarity” that is universal for all of us, especially if we learn what “true love and solidarity” actually means.
If we learned such notions according to Nature’s laws and forces that sustain, govern the general balance and homeostasis life depends on, we could start to connect, communicate above all the boundaries, misunderstandings the different cultures, habits, customs languages erect between us.
Fortunately, we have the necessary, purposeful and practical method for learning this “inner communication” despite and above the language and cultural barriers although at this stage we still need actual translation when we connect people from different countries, nations together — although we have the actual technology to achieve that.
But only through this inner communication, learning what true love is and how we can implement it above and despite everything that separates people can help us understand the core, the purpose of our humanity.
