How can we build a better environment?
Question from the Internet:
“What can I personally do to make the environment better?”
We have a very unique relationship to our human environment.
On one hand, we are like an embryo in the environment, as the immediate and more general environment, society provides our values, goals, aspirations, and behavioral patterns. We are basically the product of the “incubator” of the environment.
On the other hand, our relationship with the environment is not passive. We ourselves contribute to it, as if building, creating the “incubators” for others and ourselves.
With the larger, general environment our own contributory role is very subdued, minuscule, almost imperceptible, while it completely brainwashed, controls us from its side.
But if we decide to build a smaller, closed, purposeful environment with like-minded people, committed to common, similar goals, aspirations, then mutually we can make this “dual relationship” with the environment truly work.
By that, we can take into our own hand’s total control over our development and the development of the others in this smaller “cell”, while also protecting ourselves from the mostly toxic, destructive influence of the larger, general environment.
Moreover, as the small “cell” becomes stronger and it grows in quantity and quality and the general society continues its inevitable decline, our cell — with other similar cells all over the world — can become the foundation blocks for a new, better human society for everybody.
