How can we avoid the seemingly inevitable self-destruction?
Question from the Internet:
“How can I avoid the broad path of destruction?”
We can only avoid the “broad path” of seemingly inevitable self-destruction if we recognize what is driving us towards such a scenario.
Humanity is desperately helpless in a dead end we can’t find any way out. Either we destroy ourselves directly through wars — a nuclear world war has become very realistic and can start any moment — socio-economic collapse and destroying our planet, or we cause our demise indirectly since we can not understand let alone solve the mounting global problems like climate change, pollution, recurring plagues, receding food and water sources and so on.
We cannot comprehend and solve these things since we all approach the world through our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric and subjective worldviews. We want to destroy each other since this egocentric and exploitative human nature drives us towards ruthless competition and success at each other’s expense.
Only when we recognize and humbly accept that the root cause of our self-destruction is our own human ego, and as a result, we also develop an irrepressible and irrevocable need to change ourselves will we find solutions and escape from the seemingly inevitable demise.
We all need to reach that humbling willingness to change ourselves since there are no “good vs evil” people in the world. We all “run on the same egotistic software”, only our internal hunger and willingness to sacrifice ourselves and others for what we want differs.
We will have peace and true and sustainable solutions only when at least a critical minority of people start the conscious and willing self-changes while the rest will feel growing pressure and worsening suffering from the crisis and, as a result, will join the pioneers showing the positive example.
The future is still in our hands, as long as this positive critical minority is formed and starts working on themselves in order to show the path forward. The negative motivation putting pressure on people has already started and is increasing with each passing day.
