The problem is that, by default, we all look at each other and the world through our inherently egocentric, subjective and individualistic calculations and perception. Moreover, knowingly or unknowingly, we all enjoy succeeding and gaining at the expense of others.

Thus coming together and getting along will require some special effort, as we all need to start acting, behaving and making calculations above and against our instinctive and preferred behaviour and calculations.

We already know that people will not change or resist change that happens through coercion, misleading propaganda or fearmongering. We change, and the changes become sustainable only when we do change willingly and consciously, fully understanding and actually feeling that such changes — even the most fundamental ones — are for our own benefit.

And that is possible only through the right, purposeful and practical educational method when we start fully understanding. Moreover, we start viscerally feeling our total interdependence and what we gain by giving up the inherently egocentric and subjective worldview and the ruthless and exclusive competition in favour of positive, constructive, mutually responsible and mutually complementing cooperation.

On the other hand, the growing crisis and instability, the increasing danger of wars and socioeconomic collapse — together with our desperate helplessness in solving global problems — show us what we lose if we do not change ourselves and how we relate to each other.
