How can Israel become truly sovereign?

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

In order for Israel to become a “free (or sovereign) Nation on its Land,” Jews have to become free at first.

Only free Jews, who are free to decide their fate and that they want to unite as a Nation, as “one man with one heart,” can form a sovereign Nation.

In order to achieve this “freedom,” Jews have to relearn and implement the original method of the Torah, which teaches and facilitates how inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, and hateful individuals can rise above their inherent nature in order to form and sustain a unique mutual guarantee, where each individual becomes like a single and healthy cell in the body of the Nation.

Rav Yehuda Ashlag describes this beautifully in his landmark articles “HaArvut” and “Matan Torah.”

It is exactly this freedom — liberation from the inherently cancer-like human ego — that is symbolically described in the story of “Exodus from Egypt.”

We cannot free ourselves from slavery under the ego, and as a result, we cannot liberate ourselves from being dependant on others unless we recognize that the root cause of all our problems is within us. The root cause of all our problems is the instinctive ego that determines and controls everything we do.

This is why the proverbial “unfounded hatred” always overcomes our unity and “brothely love,” and this is why our history is the chronicle of our recurring fight for existence.

But this fight is not really against external foes. We are constantly fighting our ego which keeps defeating us.
