How can a destructive ape become a conscious Human being?

Question from the Internet:

“Based on the theory that we are simply a developed strain of apes and they are in themselves a developed strain of another, logic dictates that we will one day develop into another variant … what could this be?”

If we compare human beings to other developed primates, we see a huge difference.

Although we reportedly originate from the same root, we started from the same natural environment, humanity has developed in an incredible way, building and destroying civilizations, developing mind-boggling technology, dreaming about colonizing other planets — while the rest of the developed primates remained unchanged for millions of years.

If we search for the cause, the single root cause of this vast difference we find only one thing: the insatiable, ruthless, selfish, and individualistic human ego, that drives exclusive competition, success, and survival at the expense of others and Nature with its never-ending desire for more.

This ego defines us and also gives us the driving force, the ability to become “truly Humans”.

We will become “truly Human” when we recognize and accept that blindly, instinctively following our destructive ego we will become extinct due to our increasing incompatibility with nature’s laws and evolution’s direction towards integration.

We have the unique “Human intellect” — which we haven’t used so far — that is capable of critical self-assessment, it is capable of searching for meaning, for an overall purpose in life instead of flowing with an aimless, very basic, day-to-day survival, blindly searching for the next, greater selfish pleasure while distancing from personal suffering.

We will become “truly Human” (meaning similar to Nature according to the Hebrew origin of the notion) when above and against our instinctive nature we consciously, methodically re-integrate into Nature through mutually integrating with each other.

Since this process is predetermined in Nature’s evolution the question, our free choice is only in the manner we reach that most optimal final state: beaten to it by intolerable suffering, or through conscious, methodical preparation and implementation.
