Question from the Internet:
“When will the world go back to feeling a sense of normalcy?”
I don’t think that we can “go back to normal”, instead we have received the chance to go forward, to be born into normal.
What we used to consider as “normal” wasn’t normal at all - from the viewpoint of Nature’s perfectly integrated, deterministic and lawful evolutionary system.
With our excessive consumption, accumulating possessions, resources vastly beyond actual necessities, competing, surviving at the expense of others while depleting, destroying Nature our Human paradigm has been completely abnormal.
The virus and the subsequent restrictions - together with the evolving, unprecedented socio-economic crisis - gives us the ability for a restart.
We will see that gradually the crisis will skim off all the unnecessary surplus, everything that is obsolete from our lives, forcing us to scale back to the optimal parameters of natural necessities/available resources.
Moreover we will also learn - either through the worsening increasingly intolerable suffering, it through conscious, proactive study, exercises - that in the fully integrated, interdependent conditions we evolved into our problem solving ability, survival solely depends on building positive, mutually responsible, mutually complement interconnections, cooperation we have to build above the inherent differences, instinctive distrust, animosity.
Our new normal will not be defined by our original egocentric, subjective mindset that had caused the helplessly recurring and worsening vicious cycles in Human history.
It will be defined by Nature’s “iron laws” governing the balance and homeostasis life depends on.
