Global peace is coming, but in which way?

Question from the Internet:

“Is Global Peace a Mirage?”

Global peace is a mirage from our inherently subjective, egocentric, individualistic point of view since peace of any kind would require subjugating our egoistic self, rising above our instinctively ruthless, competitive nature that drives us to survive, succeed at the expense of others.

Moreover, it is not enough that we would need to change ourselves and accept, support even serve others that are close to us. We would need to change our relationships, attitudes towards each other on a global scale if we want to survive.

And as we could see during the pandemic, or in relation to any other increasingly pressing global issue, we are not ready to change, correct ourselves, and think about others even when our own health, life depends on it.

So what can we do?!

We have 2 options. One is “doing nothing”, continuing our lives blindly, instinctively following our selfish, subjective egos. Then we will enter such unimaginable, finally intolerable suffering through truly mortal plagues, effects of climate change, wars, and socioeconomic collapse that we will be forced to change and build peace.

On the other hand, we could consciously, purposefully, methodically forego this suffering, and start the necessary self-changes, self-upgrade, building new interconnections a step ahead of the blows. And even if a so-called “critical minority” (about 15–20% of a given population) starts this process, they will be able to pull the rest behind them as the rest will be softened through the inevitably coming suffering.

Global peace will come. The question is which pathway do we choose?
