For healing ourselves we need to take the symptoms seriously
Question from the Internet:
“With all the depressing stuff currently happening in the world right now, what is something positive that’s happened within the last 3 years?”
I know it might sound strange, or even unacceptable, but it is specifically the “depressing stuff”, the warning signs that we are approaching very realistic self-destruction which is the most important positive that happened in the last few years.
After all, when a chronic disease is consuming us from within we do not even know about, it is the worrying, painful symptoms that make us go to the doctor to get the right diagnosis and receive appropriate treatment.
Now humanity is receiving all the worrying symptoms we need. Of course, most people still ignore them, try to hide their heads in the sand, keep telling themselves and others that ‘everything is going to be ok” and soon we will return to “normal”…
Fortunately, there is a growing number of people who already feel, know that nothing is going to be ok unless we make changes unless we rebuild our human interconnections, our societies on completely new foundations while our present civilization is inevitably breaking apart.
The totally selfish, excessively overconsuming, aimless, and narcissistic Western society where the “strong eats the weak” has no right to exist and it is already collapsing as the Roman Empire did 2 millennia ago. But based on our usual ideologies, philosophies we do not have any alternative.
We have already tried all the possible permutations, variations of social, governing, economic systems we can design with our inherently selfish, egoistic, subjective, and individualistic nature — and we failed with all of them.
Thus we need to rebuild ourselves based on Nature’s integral template, through Nature-like mutual integration, after all — contrary to popular belief — we are an integral part of Nature’s fully integrated and lawful system, our survival depends on consciously achieving compatibility with Nature.
And this “conscious adaptation” will make us “truly Human”, a being that can act above and against one’s inherent instincts in similarity with Nature.
