Finding the purpose, goal in the midst of a crisis

Question from the Internet:

“Are you a little down? Since when? Changes. External ones. Internal ones. Necessary ones. “Unnecessary” ones. Those we choose. Those we don’t. Those that just happen — from some internal or external pressure, like Corona, or the climate. Are you OK?”

Thank you for your question. How are you?

Actually I am not ok. With or without the virus life is changing and it always changes unexpectedly, without any warning, and usually, the changes are unlike we planned, expected them.

Thus I am — I suspect we all are — out of balance incessantly.

We can pretend for a while that we are in control, but that sucks out our energy even more, constantly pretending that we still hold the reins in our hands.

And we can see very graphically how much individually and collectively “we are on the brink”. The pandemic removed the pretense, makeup, we were left naked.

As a result, especially during quarantine depression, suicide statistics, domestic violence, divorce rates skyrocketed. According to certain studies in Australia during the recent upsurge almost equal number of people died from suicide as from the virus infection.

And as a result of the crisis people are losing their jobs in millions, billions. The frustration spills onto the streets, people demanding changes everywhere.

But what changes do we demand?!

Nobody knows we are just angry, we want revenge, we want statues, heads to fall and roll. But even revenge cannot make us happy, content, hopeful about the future.

What about wars, the usual “historic solution”?! Well, if we do not find some other solution wars will come, they are already prepared!

Thus I am not well either externally or internally!

There is only one thing that keeps me going: that I know that what we are all going through now is necessary, it is purposeful. We are all going through a process of “rebirth” as we are standing at the threshold of a new phase of Human development.

Whether we want it or now, Nature’s evolutionary process — which contrary to popular belief still influences, obligates us — forces us to give up the previous, inherently, blindly egotistic, selfish, mutually exploitative development in order to take the reins truly in our hands and start influencing what happens next.

We have received — by the collapse of our previous/present, unsustainable Human system — the opportunity to build something new. It is clear that we cannot go back to how we lived like before, we cannot insert ourselves back into the Matrix again, mindlessly flowing with history’s helplessly recurring vicious cycles — as, by that, we would surely self-destruct in this generation.

Instead, we now have to learn how to build a new Human system, where instead of the excessive, mindless overconsumption, ruthless and exclusive competition we will need to live according to Nature’s basic laws that sustain the fragile balance and homeostasis life and positive development depends on.

Our focus, primary efforts need to focus on building “Nature-like”, mutually responsible and mutually complementing interconnections, cooperation, while we need to scale back to the optimal parameters of natural necessities and available resources as all other parts in Nature’s balanced, integral system.

No, our inherently self-serving, self-justifying ego won’t like this, we won’t want to give up our present, of lifestyle, the “toys and pleasures” we got used to. But Nature will ruthlessly take them away anyway, regardless of what we want.

Our good feelings, contentment will come from a completely different source: from the sense of true life, the flow of Nature’s “circle of life” that we will feel, experience in those “supernatural” — above instinctive nature — Human interconnections we will build purposefully, methodically through the right education.
