Everything depends on us

Question from the Internet:

“Do we control technology or is technology controlling us? What do you think?”

We are the users, we are in control. We sometimes seemingly forget the cause and effect processes and blame the consequences for our own actions that caused those consequences.

Even the hysteria surrounding AI dismisses the fact that AI is our creation and whatever it will do depends on the program and components we put into it.

We can’t escape from the absolute responsibility for everything that happens in our world. Everything — including the societies, cultures, the media, the political and economic system that seemingly shape, control us — was created by ourselves, by our inherently selfish, subjective, and individualistic, exploitative egos.

There is nothing else to blame but the human ego for everything that happens with us, around us. And there is nothing else but the ego that we need to correct, learn to harness, upgrade if we want to improve on our lives.
