Everything collapses without the right foundations.

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

Everything the article describes is true.

However, we must not forget the source and foundation for all our positive qualities and also the source of our negative ones.

Israel’s — or the Jewish people’s — success and survival depends solely on our unconditional and “supernatural” — achieved above and against the inherently and 100% selfish, egotistic, individualistic, and exploitative human nature — unity and mutual guarantee.

The birth of our Nation was around this unity and pledging to become and remain “as one man with one heart.”

We merited the Torah only when we committed ourselves to cover the instinctive “unfounded hatred” with “brotherly love.”

The single most important precept of the Torah is “Love your friend as yourself.”

We have to keep remembering, repeating, and relearning this as our inherent nature will continue to blur and fight against our unity. Maintaining this “brotherly love” and unity requires a constant internal war against our own nature with the help of the unique Jewish method our predecessors left for us.

Moreover, we need to teach the same to everybody else; otherwise, humanity will be completely consumed by the cancer-like human ego.
