“Education” is simply a word, we have to fill it with meaning

“Why does our society today continue to face the destruction of human lives in spite that people are supposedly getting educated?”

“Education” in itself simply means being prepared for something. You can be prepared to become a killer, a robber, a concentration camp guard, an executioner, whatever you want.

Our present education has been practically unchanged since the industrial revolution, with the single function to create effective workers to produce products, while society educates us to be effective consumers, buying those products endlessly.

Besides we are educated, raised to survive, succeed at each other’s and Nature’s expense as “we deserve it”, since we are told, life’s purpose is accumulating material wealth and power over others so we can manipulate and control others for our own sake.

This “education”, the shape of society we see is the result of our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, and exploitative nature that drives all of us.

If we want different behavior from people, if we want to build societies with different values, goals, we need a completely different, “truly Human” education that can teach us how to become “Human beings”, that can mutually integrate, co-exist and cooperate with each other, adapting themselves to Nature’s finely balanced, integral template.

And this is education, change we all have to perform on ourselves — with the help of the right, purposeful and practical method — instead of educating, correcting, or even canceling others.
