Do we need new elections in Israel?

My comment:
It is wishful thinking that new elections would be calm, collected, and mature when nothing has changed in Israeli society.
It is true that war created unity, but this unity is only the result of the collective existential threat and collective grief. This unity is not based on a solid foundation and will evaporate as soon as the external pressure disappears.
Why do we need new elections in the first place when the mandate of this government has not run out yet?
Those who urge for new elections want to use any possible excuse to uproot the “right-wing” government, especially Netanyahu.
At the same time, those who are in power are obviously reluctant to give up their power.
It is the same old self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, and exploitative behavior from all involved.
Politics and the discourse of life in Israel will change only when we all start fighting our greatest enemy: our own instinctive nature and the “unfounded hatred” we are all born with.
When we all become willing and ready to relearn and practice how we can overcome and neutralize our instinctive behavior with a “supernatural” — above and against instinctive human nature — “brotherly love” that facilitates true unity and mutual guarantee that does not require existential danger to bring us together, then we will have different elections, different leaders and a different future for Israel.
