Covid-19 helping us to understand, use globalization properly

“What do you think will happen to globalization if COVID-19 continues to deteriorate?”

The pandemic has shown us in a clear, brutal way how much we evolved into a globally integrated, fully interdependent world. It has also shown that as long as we try solving our problems in the usual, individualistic, nationalistic, subjective, egocentric way, always trying to survive, succeed at each other’s expense, we will not find any true solutions and our existence is in danger.

And Covid-19 with all of its mutations is not the only problem we are facing. Climate change — regardless of who, what caused it — will create increasingly violent weather events, make many places unlivable, the receding sweet water supply will become one of the excuses for future wars, the socio-economic system that is built on unnatural, excessive overconsumption will inevitably collapse just to mention a few brewing disasters.

Globalization is not something man-made we can control. Nature’s evolution is driving its whole system towards increasingly more optimal integration and Humanity, as one of Nature’s species, has to adapt to this if we want to survive evolution.

This is why Covid-19 is a very important wake-up call to show us our past and present incompatibility with what Nature’s laws and evolution demands from us. As a result, we can activate our unique human intellect, capable of critical self-assessment and initiating self-changes.

We are the only species in Nature with the ability to adapt ourselves to Nature’s system consciously, by that learning and understanding how the whole system works, where evolution is heading, in order to give us equal partnership and complete — benevolent — control over the whole system.
