Conditions for a Palestinian State

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

No, such a “solution” needs multiple conditions to be fulfilled first.

All the fragmented and infighting elements of the so-called “Palestinian people” will have to unanimously accept the existence of the Jewish state with borders that Israel will finalize after attaching the main settlements to the State of Israel.

The same “Palestinian people” will have to unanimously agree that their “state” forever remain a demilitarized zone.

The “world” will have to pledge to keep the “Palestinian people” to such clear agreements and pledges and immediately hold them to account the moment they break any of such agreements.

There also has to be a temporary period where they need to showcase to everyone that they are actually capable of self-governing and running an effective, peaceful, and developing state and that they use all funds and support channeled to them for the clear and modern benefit of their people.

During this temporary period, Israel needs to safeguard security in the “nascent state” to make sure that Israel’s safety remains protected, and Israel will receive funds for this policing from the “world” since Israel is helping build the “Palestinian state.”

Finally, and most importantly, Israel needs to keep and strengthen unity and mutual guarantee for collective decision-making, security, and prosperity, and also in order to show a positive example to anybody on how a successful and sustainable human society needs to be built above the inherently selfish and egoistic human nature.
