Can we finally poke our head out of the bitter radish of egoism?!
The big question in many people’s minds is whether we can change Human society after the pandemic.
This depends on how we can learn from the lessons of the pandemic.
At the moment the virus is seemingly distancing is from each other, increasing the already existing separation, alienation, distrust between people.
On the other hand the connections the virus severed were egotistic, since our whole previous society, all our interactions were built on ruthless, mutually exclusive competition, success, survival at each other’s expense - exactly how we all responded to the pandemic as well.
The enforced social distancing, and the sense of mutual dependency, mutual responsibility we started to feel during the crisis hopefully we awaken a need for true connections between us, as we understands that we can’t survive without each other as a single species.
Then we will be able to learn how to rebuild Human society on more Humane foundations, starting with mutually responsible and mutually complementing interconnections above and despite everything that tries to separate us.
Then we will find that through such connections life becomes much easier, safer, healthier, cheaper more sustainable. Moreover with such integration within society we also become more compatible with Nature’s integral system thus we will start to understand what it true necessities are, and what our unique Human role is in the system.
This way we can exit out old/present blind, instinctive Human bubble like a worm poking its head out from a bitter radish for the first time.
