Can we deal with our problems alone?

Question from the Internet:

“Why do some people like dealing with problems alone?”

I am not sure we “like” dealing with problems alone. We definitely think we can deal with them alone.

Moreover, out of distrust or shame, we do not want to share our problems with others, and even if we did, we most probably second-guess or reject the advice of others. After all, we all exist within our inherently self-centred, subjective and individualistic bubbles where “problems and their solutions” are evaluated only from a 100% introverted, self-serving and self-justifying viewpoint.

And as we can see more and more, all our “solutions” and how we deal with problems lead us into ever-deepening crises and conflicts. And this is so, because we have evolved into a globally integrated and totally interdependent world where no individual, local or even national problems are any longer.

In this global and integral world, everything is collective and mutual. We have all become like single cells of an all-encompassing living organism that encompasses beyond humanity the whole of Nature.

Thus for true problem-solving, in order to safeguard our continuing collective human survival in Nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated system, we need to learn how to observe, assess, analyse and synthesise everything mutually together and then act through mutually responsible and mutually complementing cooperation.
