Can we avoid a “global apocalypse”?!
Question from the Internet:
“How do you think the immediate pre- and post-apocalyptic period would be?”
We are in the immediate “pre-apocalyptic” period, as Humanity is sinking into a new, deeper “Great Depression”, inevitably inching closer to a 3rd, nuclear world war.
But the “post-apocalyptic” period depends on us.
If we don’t change our so far blind, instinctive development, there will be no “post-apocalyptic” period, probably there will be only a handful of people left, living a very basic nomadic lifestyle with day to day survival.
But if we read the “writing on the wall”, learn the lessons from the pandemic, how we all reacted to it, and why we are in perpetual crisis, we can avoid the “apocalypse”, and start building a completely new Human society which can elevate us to a qualitatively much higher, safe, fair and peaceful Human existence.
If we learn how to rise above our inherently selfish, egotistic, exploitative and hateful nature and start acting against it by building positive, sustainable, mutually responsible and mutually complement interconnections, cooperation, then we could start solving the mounting global problems, prevent new ones and safeguard our collective survival.
This won’t mean a Hollywood style “heaven”, utopia, tranquility. We will still have the same inherent differences, instinctive distrust even hatred against each other. Probably each will hold onto their weapons.
But we will know how to cover the rift with solidarity, mutual concern and support as a result of the overwhelming collective goals, purpose we unite around.
It will be a dynamic balance due to the right education and a completely new value system in society.
Thus if we remain passive and follow our selfish, exploitative egos blindly, there will be an “apocalypse” and nothing after.
If we proactively, consciously start changing ourselves and how we relate to each other, the “apocalypse” will remain a distant threat, constantly reminding us why we need to connect and work together.
