Can technology change the world?

Question from the Internet:

“Is technology basically starting to become the best thing that happened to this world?”

In truth, technology does not give anything to the world or take anything away.

Technology is simply a tool. What “it does” or “does not do” depends 100% on how we use technology.

At this stage, we use almost all of our tools, including technology, to control, manipulate, mislead, exploit and harm each other. Whatever we ever invented has become a means to propel people towards incessant personal profit at the expense of others or to be used as weapons and means of control.

Thus because of our intentions and actions, technology is mostly harmful, regardless of how advanced it is.

On the other hand, if we changed our actions and intentions and we used technology for each other’s sake and to secure the best possible human society for everyone, with its help, we could turn this planet into a “real-life Garden of Eden”.

We need to start focusing on why we do what we do and what goals and intentions we pursue. This is where we will find the key to problem-solving and to safeguarding our collective human survival and future development.
