Question from the Internet:

“Why hasn’t quantum computing become a primary focus? Can it be used for world-changing breakthroughs?”

The problem is that “computing” and technology, in general, are tools. What we do with them and what results they yield depends on how we use these tools and what we want to achieve with them.

Obviously, advanced technology can help us solve problems better. Quantum computing and AI can make our calculations faster and more effortless. But what comes out of all, in the end, will still be determined by our own calculations, goals and intentions.

Thus as long as we plan, calculate and use everything instinctively, through our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egotistic and exploitative aspirations and intentions, the results of our actions will remain destructive and self-destructive. We will still use everything mostly for selfish profit and for military or surveillance purposes to control, manipulate and exploit each other.

Only when our own goals, aspirations and intentions change will our technology become a positive and constructive tool in our hands.
