Can morality, ethics help us?

“What will happen if there is no ethics and morality in a given society on the individual level?”

Our ethics and morality — individual or collective — cannot help us. Everything we ever created, developed, live by is the product of our inherently self-serving, egocentric, subjective, and individualistic consciousness and perception of reality.

This is why our societies, civilizations fall apart after an initial hopeful period, this is why human history is a helplessly recurring chain of vicious cycles, as everything we ever start, build is sooner or later corrupted by our egos.

Right now, we are in our own civilization-ending decline, dead-end, waiting for the seemingly inevitable explosion that will wipe this civilization out giving way to the next one. The problem is that this explosion might wipe all of us out, leaving perhaps a handful of survivors.

The only solution is changing “human ethics, morality”, abandoning all our misguided, self-serving ideologies, philosophies and religions in favor of “Nature’s ethical, moral code”: selfless, altruistic, unconditional, mutually responsible and mutually complementing co-existence, cooperation for the sake, for the well-being and optimal development of the whole system.

We do not have any free choice in this matter. As integral parts of Nature’s system, we will have to comply with, adapt to Nature’s strict, unchanging laws that sustain the general balance and homeostasis life depends on.

If we do not do it proactively, consciously, willingly, we will do it as a result of intolerable suffering convincing us.
