Can AI and robots replace human beings?
Question from the Internet:
“With self-learning AI & robotics, is human capital stock value plummeting? Have humans created their replacements? Next up, sports entertainment & weather….”
Humans are not replaceable. AI and robots are tools, manufactured and programmed by us. They will always do whatever we use them for, according to the program we install in them.
The fully and independently conscious AI is a nice imagination. Still, even if such technical breakthrough happens, the subsequent AI will become like its creator — fully self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric and exploitative.
We cannot program them in any other way. Everything we invent and develop becomes a tool for war, for the exploitation manipulation and control of others. Thus a “fully independent and autonomous AI” will also self-destruct, probably sooner than its creator since it will be more proficient in destruction.
Human emotions, human sensitivity and the potentially collective Human consciousness has no competition or parallel in Nature. Nature created us with the predetermined purpose to become fully Human — meaning a single, mutually integrated and mutually complementing Human “super-organism” that possesses a collective consciousness that equals and partners Nature.
In fact, we are supposed to become Nature’s only fully conscious, integrated and at the same time independent “mind”. This is why we are born opposite to this role, selfish, egotistic and exploitative, so from this opposite we could consciously and willingly develop into what we are supposed to become.
Instead of focusing on things that are surplus and self-destructive, we need to focus on consciously and purposefully developing ourselves towards our predetermined, evolutionary Human role in Nature. If we do not do it by our own efforts, Nature will push and force us in that direction in a very unpleasant way — perhaps even turning our machines against us.
In this conscious and positive self-development robots or AI can assist us — if we use them properly — but they can’t take over the role only Human beings can fulfil.
