Both Capitalism and Communism are products of our inherently selfish, egotistic nature

Question from the Internet:

“Which provides more freedom, capitalism or socialism?”

Neither, as we can see from historical perspective. Even on the superficial level in both systems the majority is brainwashed and exploited by a small, powerful minority.

We could even say that people in Communist countries at least know their boundaries, the real or symbolic walls surrounding them, while in Western countries people believe they are free while they are just as much controlled and exploited.

On a deeper level we are all slaves to our inherently self-serving, self-justifying egos that drives us towards excessive consumption, ruthless competition, success, survival at each other’s expense. Capitalism or Communism (and all other “isms”, governing, social systems) are simply different external representations of this inherent Human nature.

There is only one state of “true freedom” in reality, when we liberate ourselves from the control of our selfish egos. When we do so, we will be able to build a completely new Human system on values, processes we can’t even think of, comprehend today.
